STUDIUM GENERALE: "ONLINE PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING: CONCEPT AND APPLICATIONS IN THE INDUSTRY"

The Department of Psychology at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya held a Studium Generale titled “Online Psychological Testing: Concepts and Applications in Industry” on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 13:00 to 16:00, at Theater 2, 4th Floor, Building A, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya. The event featured two speakers.

The first speaker, Firdhawati Khairunisa, S.Psi., who serves as a Talent Management Officer at PT Jaya Real Property, presented on “The Development of Online Testing at PT JRP.” In her presentation, she explained the process of digitalizing psychological measurement tools in the industrial sector, as well as how technology can be used to improve accessibility and efficiency in conducting psychological evaluations. The second speaker, Muhammad Tafakur, S.Ds., M.Ds., a lecturer from the Department of Visual Communication Design at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, delivered a presentation titled “Basic UI/UX Principles in Designing Online Tests.” He discussed in depth the principles of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, along with the importance of typography in supporting readability and user comfort when accessing psychological tests online. The event was moderated by Aries Yulianto, S.Psi., M.Si., a lecturer from the Department of Psychology at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, and concluded with an interactive discussion and Q&A session between the participants and the speakers.

This Studium Generale was attended by psychology students currently enrolled in the Psychometrics and Psychological Test Construction courses. Through this event, students are expected to deepen their understanding of digital psychological measurement tool development and grasp relevant UI/UX design principles in the context of online testing.
