Aries Yulianto, S.Psi., M.Si.

Lecturer & Departement Head

Aries has joined Universitas Pembangunan Jaya since July 2018 as a lecturer at Psychology Study Program and became the secretary of the Psychology Study Program in October 2018. Since July 2019 he has been the Head of the Psychology Study Program. The lectures he offered are Research Methodology and Statistics, Psychometrics, and Construction of Psychology Measurement Instruments. In addition to teaching, Aries is also experienced as a team for CPNS (civil servant selection tests) and SBMPTN-SNPTN selection (state universities entry tests), test developer for several governments and private institutions, as well as a resource person in training in the preparation of psychological measurement instruments and psychometric analysis. Besides lecturing, Aries also did several research studies on the preparation and analysis of psychological measuring instruments. The results of his research were widely presented in national and international seminars, as well as in the form of proceedings, journals, and books.

Ellyana Dwi Farisandy, M.Psi., Psikolog

Department Secretary & Lecturer

Ellyana Dwi Farisandy, M.Psi., Psikolog also known as Elly is a Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer Department of Psychology with over six years of clinical experience and four years in academia. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Universitas Surabaya and earned her Master's degree in Professional Psychology from Universitas Airlangga, where she was recognized as the best graduate.

Her primary focus lies in clinical psychology, encompassing mental health, psychological disorders, and psychological interventions. Her expertise is further enhanced through participation in various Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) trainings and is supported by a certification in non-fiction writing competence from Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP).

Elly is an active writer and has published over 15 scientific articles in nationally accredited SINTA journals, as well as one article in an internationally reputable journal. Beyond her clinical and academic endeavors, she is frequently invited as a guest speaker in both offline and online settings, reflecting her commitment to bridging psychological science with the broader public.

Gita W. L. Soerjoatmodjo, M.A., M.Psi., Psikolog

Lecturer

Gita Widya Laksmini Soerjoatmodjo is a Psychologist and Lecturer with extensive experience in academia and organizational management. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya.

Her professional journey spans roles as a journalist for Tempo Magazine and a correspondent in London before pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Psychology at Universitas Indonesia. This interdisciplinary experience enriches Gita’s approach to research and her commitment to applying psychology to improve the quality of life of urban communities through cross-sector collaboration.

Gita actively engages in research and publication, focusing on psychology and urban social issues. She has contributed to several books and international articles, including International Journalism and Democracy (Routledge, 2010) and Civil Society and Transparency in the Extractive Industry (Indonesian Parliamentary Center, 2015). Gita’s interest in psychological interventions in education and community development is reflected in her publications in national and international journals.

Maria Jane Tienoviani Simanjuntak, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psikolog

Lecturer & Scientific Coordinator

Maria Jane or MJ, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Surabaya in 2013. During her undergraduate studies, MJ also worked as a lecturer assistant and psychology examiner at several Psychology Bureaus in Surabaya. After graduating, MJ then continued her career as a practitioner. Started by becoming HR Recruitment at a company in East Java. MJ also improved her knowledge and skills of clinical psychology which had been her interest from the beginning when she entered the psychology department. In 2015, MJ continued postgraduate study and concentrated on clinical psychology at the University of Surabaya. In addition to studies, MJ is also still continuing his profession as a freelance tester for several psychology bureaus such as PKLP University of Surabaya, Iradat Consultant, and other bureaus.

After completing her postgraduate degree in 2018, MJ then joined several online counseling platforms in Indonesia and outside Indonesia. Through this online counseling platform, MJ helps hundreds of thousands of people who are still embarrassed, confused and afraid to share their journey with psychologists. MJ also asked to share knowledge by being a resource on radio or social media platforms that focus on and promote mental health issues. The issues are related to handling trauma, preventing and handling sexual assault on campus and everyday life, and so on.

MJ joined UPJ since July 2020 which was her first experience reading the path as an academic. MJ's motivation to shift to the academic path is to improve the development and application of psychology in human life, especially in Indonesia. MJ wants to continue to learn and share her knowledge and experiences with senior academics and everyone who is interested in studying psychology. MJ's greatest hope for all human beings who are studying psychology is to become self-aware and mature in self-management to carry out the real challenges in Life.

Supriyanto, S.Psi., M.Si.

Lecturer

Supriyanto has joined Psychology Study Program, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) since 2014. He has a strong interest in the fields of Social Psychology, Community Psychology, Environmental Psychology and Urban Psychology. The lectures he offered are History of Psychology, Training and Development, Social Psychology, Urban Psychology, and Community Psychology.  Before joining UPJ, he used to work at the Pulih Foundation, American Red Cross and Ministry of Health (MoH) Republic of Indonesia. His competencies and professional experiences include psychosocial intervention, social assessment, program cycle management, training and learning material development.

Veronica Anastasia Melany, S.Psi., M.Si.

Lecturer & Student Coordinator

Vemmy, her nickname, joined the Psychology Study Program as a lecturer in 2011 and since 2015 has served as the Head of the Jaya Soft skills Development (JSDP) Program Unit, a special character development program for Universitas Pembangunan Jaya academicians. Vemmy is interested in various situations experienced by individuals as members of a group, both small and large. The majority of research discusses the experience learning, stress, coping, social support and adjustment to see the dynamics of life experienced. She also has an interest in using qualitative and experimental methods. Some research results have been presented and published at the national and international levels, some are even published outside the container of Psychology, for example in the 13th International Conference on Sustainable Environment and Architecture or in the Journal of Communication Studies, because it is the result of collaborative research with colleagues from in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, management, and communication.

Dr. Clara Moningka, S.Psi., M.Si.

Lecturer

Clara joined Universitas Pembangunan Jaya in 2017 as a lecturer in the Psychology Study Program. Currently, Clara is the Coordinator of the Apprenticeship Program in the Psychology Study Program. She teaches Research Methodology and Statistics, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Consumer Behavior, and others. Clara is also a source person for several media. Clara also received a scholarship from the Asian Association of Social Psychology for the summer school program in 2012 (Yogyakarta) and in 2015 (Philippines).  Currently, she also acts as a member of the University senate, a member of the ethics committee of the Konsorsium Psikologi Ilmiah Nusantara, a reviewer of the Indonesia Journal of Indigenous Psychology (Jurnal Psikologi Ulayat), Biopsychosocial Journal, Journal of Social and Political Psychology. Her research and writing have been presented in national and international seminars and published in proceedings, journals, and books.

Hidayatul Annisa, M.Psi., Psikolog

Lecturer

Hidayatul Annisa has a strong background as a Practitioner in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, with over five years of professional experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, and Psychological Assessment across various major industries in Indonesia. She earned her Master’s degree in Professional Psychology from Universitas Persada Indonesia YAI, graduating with Cumlaude.


Her primary focus in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, particularly in Organizational Behavior, Strategic Human Resources, and Assessment Center methodology. Her expertise is further strengthened by a certification as an Assessment Center Assessor from PPM Manajemen, along with participation in various professional trainings such as Competency-Based Interview, Targeted Selection Interview, and Dynamic Recruitment Strategies.


Annisa is also actively involved as a Speaker in academic and professional forums. She has been a featured speaker on topics such as related to career preparation, workplace wellbeing, leadership, and stress management. Her dedication to the field of psychology is reflected through her contributions as both a practitioner and mentor, bridging the gap between industry demands and academic insight.

Bunga Karuni, M.Psi., Psikolog

Lecturer

Bunga Karuni, M.Psi, Psikolog, also known as Flo, is an Educational Psychologist and Lecturer in the Psychology Study Program at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ), where she has been contributing since January 2025. Prior to joining UPJ, she served as a lecturer assistant for the psychology profession students at Universitas Gadjah Mada, a role that enriched her experience in lecturing and providing professional supervision for psychology students' academic work. Through her academic journey, she has also developed her professional psychologist skills by providing planned interventions and counselling for children to adults with mental health-related issues. Flo also experienced as a keynote speaker at both offline and online mental health seminars and training events, which allows her to share her expertise and advocate for the importance of psychological resilience in contemporary society. In addition to her academic roles, Flo actively engages in spreading mental health awareness through various social media platforms to educate and inspire not only students but also other individuals about the importance of mental health.
